Super Mario Bros. Movie Breaks New Box Office Record

The box office success of Universal and Illumination's "Super Mario Bros. Movie" continues to conquer the box office. The cartoon with Chris Pratt in the role of Mario grossed $678 million in two weeks after its release. And the third weekend brought the creators another $58 million, and since it is not yet over, there is a possibility that this amount may grow to $60 million.


Like last weekend, the animated feature film occupied the first place in the number of views among animated films. It currently ranks seventh overall. And experts expect it to surpass the $850 million mark in box office by the end of the weekend.


Super Mario Bros. Movie quickly became the highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time, with the previous highest-grossing video game adaptation, Warcraft, earning $439 million at the box office. And to become the most successful animated feature film, the project must surpass the figures of Despicable Me 3 ($1.032 billion) and Minions ($1.157 billion).
